SoftBank Corp.'s Nine Month Profit Gains 7%

SoftBank Corp.'s (TYO:9434) profit attributable to owners of the parent rose 7.4% to 436.6 billion yen in the fiscal nine months ended Dec. 31, 2024, from 406.7 billion yen a year ago after higher operating income was partly offset by the absence of exceptional gains.

The internet services company's diluted earnings per share rose to 9.02 yen from 8.43 yen a year ago, according to a Tokyo Stock Exchange filing on Feb. 7.

Revenue increased 6.6% to 4.811 trillion yen from 4.511 trillion yen a year earlier.

It forecasted attributable profit to grow 4.3% to 510 billion yen or 10.66 yen per share and net sales to gain 4.4% to 6.35 trillion yen for the fiscal year ending March 31.

The company expects to pay a year-end dividend of 4.3 yen per share for the current fiscal year.
