DevEx Resources (ASX:DEV) said two priority uranium exploration tenements were granted at its Nabarlek uranium project in the Northern Territory, Australia, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.
The firm reviewed historical exploration drilling in the region and identified uranium-bearing faults.
It received notice from the Department of Mining and Energy that the two tenements were granted after the completion of anthropological surveys and a subsequent land access agreement between the firm and both the Northern Land Council as well as the traditional owners of the area covering the tenements.
It requested a work-program meeting with the traditional owners ahead of the dry season before work could start.
The company's shares rose past 1% in recent Wednesday trade.
