1503 ET - Second-hand-clothing retailer ThredUp is investing in AI and other tech to help shoppers find exactly what they're looking for, CEO James Reinhart tells WSJ. The company has up to 60,000 garments online every day, so it's looking for a better way to help customers sift through its inventory. "Investments in AI and technology will uniquely benefit us because of the vast assortment in our catalogue," Reinhart says. ThredUp is already using AI to track and find trends, but it aims to direct that AI investment into personalizing customers' experience navigating the app. (katherine.hamilton@wsj.com)
