《巴隆周刊》(Barron"s) 2月12日援引知情人士消息报道，摩根大通US上周开始裁员，员工已在2月5日收到裁员通知，其中几起裁员是在休士顿办公室。该行还计划未来的3月中旬、5 月、6 月、8 月、9 月进一步裁员，并非每一轮裁员都会影响到所有业务领域。

目前预估2月裁员人数将少于1000人，虽然目前尚不清楚今年总共会裁撤多少员工。根据 2024年12月的数据，摩根大通拥有约31.7万名员工。

摩根大通的发言人周三在给《巴隆周刊》的声明中表示：，这些裁员属于我们日常业务管理的一部分，仅会影响少数员工，我们定期审视业务需求，根据需要调整人员配置，在适当的时候会裁撤或招聘。我们的策略没有改变，我们会根据经济周期运营公司，摩根大通仍然在许多领域进行招聘，并致力于安置受影响的员工到其他工作岗位。公司目前有约1.4万个职缺，并且在过去一年中新聘约7000人。

裁员之际引发了员工的不安和愤怒，也加剧公司内部成立工会的运动升温。该行员工在公司内部论坛、社交媒体和网络上流传由员工主导的新请愿书以及在《巴伦周刊》的采访中愈发明显，他们对公司表达深深的失望。
