Heritage-listed cottage beats reserve by $350,000 amid rate cut hopes

A heritage-listed three-bedroom home that was formerly a post office on Sydney’s lower north shore sold for $350,000 above its reserve at $2.85 million, as auction results pushed beyond 75 per cent in the city.

The NSW capital clocked a 76.6 per cent preliminary clearance rate, up from the previous week’s 73 per cent, which was the city’s most successful week of auctions since July, according to CoreLogic data.
