0509 GMT - Uncertainties surrounding the changing U.S. tariff policies will likely remain a key concern for e-commerce company PDD Holdings and its online marketplace Temu, the UOB Kay Hian team writes in a note. Investors are waiting for more regulatory clarity on the shifting U.S. trade policies and the de minimis tax exemption for various countries before assigning any meaningful value to Temu's business, the analysts say. PDD's valuation will be partly affected by potential tariff pressures on Temu, but continuing mitigation efforts, including geographical diversification, should provide some support, they add. The potentially adverse cost hikes will likely be manageable, as Temu carries minimal implied valuation on PDD's current market capitalization, they say. (kimberley.kao@wsj.com)
