Downer EDI (ASX:DOW) reported Thursday that its earnings per diluted share in the fiscal first half rose to AU$0.103, from AU$0.098 per diluted share a year earlier.
Analysts polled by Visible Alpha were expecting EPS of AU$0.146.
Revenue for the six months ended Dec. 31, 2024, was AU$5.22 billion, down 7% from AU$5.58 billion in the same period last year. Analysts surveyed by Visible Alpha expected AU$5.8 billion.
The engineering firm expects full fiscal year underlying net profit after tax and amortization to reach AU$265 million to AU$280 million.
The board declared an interim dividend of AU$0.108 per share, up from the AU$0.06 in the previous reported period, payable on March 27 to shareholders on record as of Feb. 27.
