Odaily星球日报讯 纽约南区代理检察官 Danielle Sassoon 突然辞职，或与司法部要求她暂停对纽约市长 Eric Adams 的腐败调查有关。目前尚不清楚谁将接替 Sassoon 担任代理职务。 Sassoon 曾是 FTX 创始人 Sam Bankman-Fried（SBF）案件的主要检察官，也曾负责多起涉加密行业的诉讼。消息称，代理美国副司法部长 Emil Bove（曾任特朗普的刑事辩护律师）下令 Sassoon 暂缓对 Adams 的指控，直至参议院确认新的纽约南区检察官。目前，国会议员将审议特朗普提名的纽约南区新任检察官人选——前 SEC 主席、华尔街资深人士 Jay Clayton。（纽约时报） Adams 2022 年上任时曾宣布用比特币领取前三个月薪资，并承诺将纽约打造为“比特币中心”。但 2024 年 9 月，他被指控收受土耳其政府非法政治献金，并涉嫌推动未经消防安全认证的土耳其领事馆大楼开设。
