Singapore shares closed in green on Thursday as investors shrugged off higher-than-expected US inflation data.
The Straits Times Index ranged between 3,864.38 and 3,882.58 throughout the day. It ended the session at 3,882.58, up 7.96 points or 0.21% compared to Wednesday's close.
Seatrium surged nearly 11% after it signed an MoU with BP Exploration & Production to prepare for a second project at the US Gulf of America.
IFAST rose 2.88%. The digital bank and wealth management platform reported a 46.3% increase in net profit to SGD 19.3 million for the fourth quarter ending December 31, 2024.
YZJ Fin Hldg up 2% while CapLand China T was down 4%.
In corporate news, shares of Grand Bank Yacht slid nearly 14% even as its attributable profit rose 9.2% to SG$7.6 million in the fiscal first half from SG$6.9 million a year earlier.
Meanwhile, shares of Digital Core REIT were up nearly 4% after its distribution per unit (DPU) for the second half of 2024 rose 1.1% to $0.0180 from $0.0178 a year prior.
