Chrysos (ASX:C79) said that Chief Financial Officer Brett Coventry informed the firm that he was charged with a contravention of a section of the Corporations Act in relation to a role he held with a previous employer in 2018, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.

The matter is unrelated to his role at the firm, which is not a party to the proceedings, the filing said.

Coventry informed the board he denies the allegation and will defend against it in court.
