当地时间2月12日，波音公司在与美国国家航空航天局（NASA）进行谈判后，成功保留了其登月火箭项目之前考虑裁减的400个工作岗位中的一半，这可能表明，尽管担心特朗普可能会对该项目进行调整，但未来的资金来源仍有更大的确定性。

波音公司副总裁兼美国太空发射系统火箭（SLS）项目负责人大卫・杜特彻（David Dutcher）向员工表示，波音公司正在“努力敲定直接影响其工作的合同行动”。杜特彻说，公司将向不到200名员工发出为期60天的裁员通知。

此前在7日，波音公司宣布计划在2025年4月前削减其太空发射系统团队约400个职位。波音称，裁员是为了配合“阿耳忒弥斯”计划的修订和成本预期。“阿耳忒弥斯”是美国政府2019年宣布的新登月计划。
