Karman Holdings shares jumped more than 30% in their trading debut after the missile, defense and space systems company's initial public offering was priced above expectations.
Karman shares were recently changing hands at $28.78, up 31%, after opening at $30 on Thursday.
The Huntington Beach, Calif., company sold about 8.42 million shares at $22 each in the IPO, compared with an expected price range of $18 to $20 apiece.
Karman investors sold roughly 14.6 million shares, bringing the total size of the IPO to 23 million shares.
