市场预计本田在截至去年12月31日的三个月内实现营业利润4070亿日元(合27亿美元)。相比之下，日产的营业利润仅为515亿日元。
在截至3月31日的财年中，本田的营业利润预计将达到1.45万亿日元，而日产的营业利润预计仅为1300亿日元，远低于其去年11月份预测的1500亿日元，也大大低于其最初预计的5000亿日元。
