Nokia (NOK) is expected to get unconditional EU antitrust clearance for its $2.3 billion acquisition of Infinera (INFN), Reuters reported Friday, citing people with direct knowledge of the matter.

The deal was announced in June last year. Nokia stated in its Jan. 30 financial statement that it expects the transaction to close in Q1.

The European Commission is set to complete preliminary review of the deal by Feb. 26, the report added.

The regulator didn't immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
