特朗普政府首次批准液化天然气（LNG）出口项目，致力于兑现大量出口的承诺。
美国能源部为Commonwealth LNG发放有条件许可，以便其每年从路易斯安那州卡梅伦附近的拟建设施输送数以百万吨的液化天然气。这是能源部长Chris Wright批准的第一个LNG项目；其曾表示，在发放许可方面要恢复正常秩序。
能源部表示，预计将在今年晚些时候向Commonwealth项目发放最终许可。该部门目前有大约十几个大型LNG项目待批。
