Tencent (HKG:0700) won in a video copyright infringement case in the US filed against Taiwanese TV box firm Unblock Tech and other distributors, Reuters reported Thursday.
The U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas awarded the Chinese tech giant $85 million in compensation for the case, the report said.
Tencent Penguin Film, Tencent Computer System and Tencent Technology filed the case, accusing Unblock Tech and other distributors of copying Tencent's 1,500 shows including family drama "Little Days" and "Three Body Problem," the report said.
