智通财经APP获悉，港铁（00066）据报正与银行商谈多笔双边贷款事宜，以继续扩建铁路网。消息指出，港铁已要求每家银行承诺提供约10亿港元贷款，贷款期最长为5年，累计筹集总金额尚未确定。
港铁发言人表示，为确保公司的稳定及可持续发展，一向有进行前瞻性的财务规划，以应对日常业务营运中出现的资金需求。报道中提及的是与银行间的承诺双边贷款，是公司就管理营运资金的一种方法，亦一直有定期安排及延续该类贷款。
消息人士称，港铁与银行的最新谈判正处于不同的进展阶段，去年已与星展银行签署一笔10亿元5年期可持续发展挂钩循环贷款。
