Tam Jai's Japan-Listed Controller Logs Lower Profit in Nine Months to December 2024

Toridoll (TYO:3397) recorded a business profit of 1.93 billion yen in the nine months ended Dec. 31, 2024, for its overseas segment, lower than 2.95 billion yen logged for the same period in 2023, a Friday bourse filing said.

The Tam Jai International (HKG:2217) controlling shareholder's revenue from the overseas segment was 78.5 billion yen during the reporting period, higher than the 64.7 billion yen recorded for a year-ago period.

Tam Jai and its subsidiaries recorded HK$59 million in net profit for the nine months, lower than the 108 million logged a year ago.

The group's revenue came in at HK$2.13 billion, higher than HK$2.07 billion from a year earlier.

The trading in the company shares has been suspended since Feb. 4 at its request and will stay as such until the disclosure of relevant information as per Hong Kong's code on takeovers and mergers.
