Ganfeng Lithium Group (SHE:002460) officially started production at its Mariana lithium project in Argentina.
The first phase of the project has an annual planned production capacity of 20,000 tons of lithium chloride, according to a Friday filing on the Shenzhen bourse.
Mariana has an estimated resource of about 8.1 million tons of lithium carbonate equivalent.
Shares of the miner rose 1% in recent trade.
