Micro-X (ASX:MX1), said its unit, Micro-X, signed a AU$6 million contract extension with the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) for its self-screening checkpoint project, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.
The extension, the first of two optional add-ons, will fund the creation of two additional checkpoints and the testing of three units over the next 16 months, the filing said.
The work is part of a broader $14.1 million contract with the DHS, which could lead to further funding for a full six-station lane and airport testing, the filing added.
