CGN New Energy Logs 7.5% Drop in January Output

CGN New Energy (HKG:1811) generated 1,527.6 gigawatt-hours of power in January, down 7.5% from the year-ago period, a Thursday bourse filing stated.

Power output from wind and solar projects in China rose by 9.4% and 18.2%, respectively.

The power generation of cogen & gas-fired and hydro projects in China fell by 5.1% and 3.3%, respectively, while that of Korean projects declined by 34%.

Shares of the power company were up over 1% in recent trade.
