MW Chipotle recruiting 20,000 seasonal workers using 'Ava Cado' AI program
Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc. said Wednesday it's planning to use artificial intelligence to speed up its efforts to hire 20,000 people to handle its busiest time of the year between March to May.
Chipotle $(CMG)$ said it's planning to hire the workers to make sure its more than 3,700 restaurants are fully staffed for Burrito Season, the restaurant chain's active time between college basketball season and Cinco de Mayo.
Applicants will most likely have a conversation with Ava Cado, the virtual team member generated by artificial intelligence to answer questions for potential employees.
"Ava Cado has made the hiring process more efficient for Chipotle's restaurant teams," the company said.
