美团将为骑手缴纳社保，高管内网回应“被抢跑”
蓝鲸新闻2月19日讯（记者 张妍𬱖）2月19日美团宣布将为全职及稳定兼职骑手缴纳社保，在此之前京东也宣布将为全职骑手缴纳五险一金。据悉，美团核心本地商业CEO王莆中在内网回复员工时表示，“履行好社会责任，不必用竞争思维来思考。”
王莆中“划重点”指出：去年以来，美团就骑手缴纳养老保险等社保方案做了认真研究，选择了不同区域不同城市进行深入调研，并在有关部门的指导下形成了初步试点方案，目前正在搭建骑手社保相关的信息系统，预计2025年二季度开始实施，逐步为全职及稳定兼职骑手缴纳社保。
王莆中的表态反映出，美团对骑手缴社保问题早有讨论筹备，多次向有关部门汇报方案。在其看来，是否被“抢跑”并不重要，骑手更好才重要。
