然而，达成这样的交易也面临挑战。尽管当前并非Lina Khan领导的联邦贸易委员会时期，但反垄断和其他监管问题仍将是重要的考虑因素。尽管如此，如此巨大的潜在收益仍然可能吸引一些公司尝试促成交易。

即使不进行拆分，英特尔仍然有一些潜在的利好因素。有报道称，其Celestial图形处理器 (GPU) 的表现可能会比Battlemage更好，甚至对AMD和Nvidia构成威胁。此外，Celestial系列GPU可能采用英特尔自主工艺制造，而不是依赖台积电。

英特尔的18A节点工艺也不容忽视。英特尔首席工程项目经理Joseph Bonetti表示，18A节点将为英特尔重回巅峰提供所需的一切。他认为，将英特尔的工艺控制权交给台积电将是一个“可怕的、令人沮丧的错误”。

目前，华尔街分析师对英特尔股票的共识评级为“持有”，基于过去3个月内1个买入、27个持有和5个卖出评级，平均目标价为22.67美元。
