Great Southern Mining (ASX:GSN) said a second large-scale, shallow induced polarisation (IP) chargeability anomaly has been identified within the Edinburgh Park Project in Queensland, according to a Tuesday filing with the Australian bourse.

These IP anomalies are interpreted to be large-scale intrusive related systems, which could be host to porphyry gold-copper or epithermal gold deposits or both, the filing added.

Drilling is scheduled in the early June quarter subject to the end of the wet season and finalization of heritage and environmental surveys, per the filing.

The project is a joint venture between Great Southern Mining and Gold Fields.
