智通财经APP获悉，2月17日，渣打香港、安拟集团及香港电讯(06823)已达成协议，将成立合资公司，期望在新的监管制度下向香港金管局申请牌照，发行与港元挂勾的稳定币。
渣打集团行政总裁温拓思表示，积极参与各式各样有关央行数码货币、代币化存款及稳定币的项目，并推出业务方案和产品，为数码资产市场提供服务。稳定币作为具实际用例的公共区块键工具，在整个数码资产生态中担当关键角色。
渣打银行香港兼大中华及北亚区行政总裁禤惠仪表示，作为一家参与香港金管局稳定币发行人沙盒的银行，渣打期待与合作伙伴成为首批发行人，推出与港元挂勾的稳定币，为香港带来崭新的交易媒介，并为本地金融市场发展揭开新的一页。
香港电讯集团董事总经理许汉卿表示，相信发行与港元挂勾的稳定币将有助提升支付效率、简化交易流程，并通过先进的Web3技术带来更高安全性和透明度，惠及整个零售行业。
安拟集团总裁欧阳杞浚表示，能够在香港金管局的监管框架下，成为首批发行与法定货币挂勾的稳定币公司之一，进一步坚定了集团对香港成为全球Web3中心的美好前景的信心。
