Netflix hit a record high of 14.16 million monthly users in South Korea in January, surpassing its previous record of 13.17 million in December, Pulse News reported Tuesday, citing a survey conducted by WiseApp/Retail.
The surge was driven by the success of Netflix's Korean originals, "Squid Game Season 2" and "The Trauma Code: Heroes On Call," the report said.
The streaming giant dominated usage time share at 61.1%, far ahead of rivals such as TVING at 16.5% and Coupang Play at 10.2%, it said.
