ScanTech AI Systems Shares Rise After Virginia Prison Contract

ScanTech AI Systems shares doubled, to $4.35, after the company said it signed a deal with the Virginia Department of Corrections to deploy its Fixed-Gantry Sentinel Computed Tomography scanner.

The screening technology company said Tuesday this project will help find and prevent illegal contraband in correctional facilities throughout Virginia.

The stock hit its 52-week low of $1.23 on Feb. 12, and is down 61% in the past 12 months.
