智通财经APP获悉，消息人士透露，Stellantis(STLA.US)将在意大利南部泰尔莫利工厂开始生产混合动力汽车的双离合变速器，此举可能为该工厂提供另一种战略选择。该工厂原本计划转向生产电动汽车电池。
Stellantis牵头的合资企业ACC计划在欧洲建造三家电动汽车电池制造厂，泰尔莫利发动机制造厂是其中之一。
尽管法国的超级工厂已开始运营，且开发投资仍在继续，但在意大利和德国建造两座类似工厂的计划已于去年正式暂停，因为在电动汽车需求放缓的情况下，ACC正在转向成本更低的电池。
两位消息人士周一表示，Stellantis将在泰尔莫利工厂生产混合动力汽车的关键部件——电动双离合变速箱(eDCT)，以扩大这类汽车的供应。
这家汽车制造商已经在意大利米拉菲奥里和法国梅斯生产eDCT。
消息人士补充称，ACC尚未就其在意大利和德国的超级工厂计划做出最终决定。
