Toll Brothers Sees Opportunities on the East Coast -- Market Talk

1610 ET - Luxury home builder Toll Brothers sees ripe opportunities on the East Coast. "One of the reasons Boston down to Atlanta, and particularly Boston down to the Carolinas, has been so strong for us is because the resale market doesn't have a lot of the new home spec sitting on it because the big builders don't build there," CEO Douglas Yearley Jr. says on an earnings call. He adds that the resale market tends to be the older traditional resales and that there aren't many such opportunities on the market, so the opportunity is to go new. In a similar vein, home-listing site Zillow noted in a recent report that six of the 10 hottest housing markets in 2025 reside on the East Coast and called out Charlotte, N.C., as one of the said in-demand markets.
