Barrick Gold (GOLD) agreed with the Mali government to settle a dispute over its mining assets in the country, Reuters reported Wednesday, citing two people familiar with the developments.
The company has signed the deal including payment of 275 billion West African CFA francs, ($438.2 million) to the government, the sources reportedly said.
The company is awaiting formal approval from the Mali government and an official announcement is expected as early as Thursday, the report added.
Barrick Gold did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
