ServisFirst Bancshares named David Sparacio as its next chief financial officer, effective March 10.

Sparacio will succeed Ed Woodie, who has served as interim financial chief since October, following the resignation of Kirk Pressley, the Birmingham, Ala., company said Monday. Sparacio was hired following a search conducted by Chartwell Partners.

In his role, Sparacio will oversee the bank's financial strategy, regulatory reporting and accounting operations. He has more than three decades of experience in banking and financial management, having led accounting teams, implemented financial-control structures and spearheaded efficiency- and compliance-enhancing initiatives in previous roles at financial institutions, the company said.
