More than 46% of Hongkongers are looking to buy houses in the next 12 months as they await more supportive housing measures, The Standard reported Thursday, citing a survey by Hong Kong Property Services.

The figure is 11.4 percentage points lower compared with the fourth quarter of 2024, the report said, citing the survey.

The survey analyzed results from 300 questionnaires distributed by the realtor.

Around 58.4% of those surveyed foresee property prices to fall in the next 12 months, up 11.3 percentage points compared with the year-ago period.
