Manulife Financial's Q4 2024 Attributable Profit Falls 3%

Manulife Financial's (HKG:0945, PSE:MFC) attributable profit fell 3% to CA$1.64 billion in the fourth quarter of 2024 from CA$1.66 billion in the year-ago period, according to a Thursday filing with the Hong Kong exchange.

Earnings per share at the insurer increased to CA$0.88 from CA$0.86 in the previous year. Analysts at Visible Alpha estimated EPS at CA$0.94.

Core earnings jumped 6% to CA$1.91 billion from CA$1.77 billion a year earlier.

Core EPS jumped 9% to CA$1.03 from CA$0.92 in the previous year.

Core revenue rose to CA$2.14 billion from CA$1.84 billion a year earlier.

The company declared a common share dividend of CA$0.44, up 10% year over year, payable March 19 to shareholders on record as of March 5.
