Expeditors International's president and chief executive, Jeffrey Musser, is retiring at the end of March after nearly four decades with the logistics company.

Expeditors on Wednesday said Daniel Wall, currently president of global geographies, will succeed Musser as president and CEO of the Bellevue, Wash., company on April 1.

Expeditors said Musser, who joined the company in 1983 and took the helm in December 2013, will also step down as a director, while Wall will join the board.

Wall, 56 years old, joined Expeditors in 1987 and has been in his current post since the start of last year.
