Viking Mines (ASX:VKA) confirmed the presence of a "steeply dipping gold zone" at the Northern Duplex Target, which is part of its First Hit project in Western Australia, according to a Tuesday filing with the Australian bourse.
Further assays from the company's phase-one drilling program returned 17 meters at 1.1 grams per tonne grade of gold from 28 meters, with multiple individual intercepts up to 3.1g/t gold, per the filing.
The mineral explorer expects to receive results from the remaining three drill traverses in late February to early March.
