New Zealand's National Housing Market Value Declines 1.4% in January

New Zealand's national housing market value declined in January as the REINZ House Price Index fell 1.4% year on year, according to a Wednesday report from the Real Estate Institute of New Zealand.

Excluding Auckland, house prices were down 1.1%. Auckland house prices fell 2.2%, while Wellington prices dropped 4.4%.

On a monthly basis, the nationwide housing market value dropped 0.2% in January.
