Feb 19 - (The Insurer) - Hamilton Global Specialty, an underwriting platform of Hamilton Insurance Group, has bolstered its leadership team with the appointments of Chris Golder as head of treaty and Mike Thorp as head of space.
In his new role, Golder will report to Miles Osorio, active underwriter of Syndicate 4000.
Golder joined Hamilton's treaty team in February 2023, prior to which he spent eight years at Atrium as a marine reinsurance underwriter.
Thorp will report to Sinead Cormican, deputy active underwriter of Syndicate 4000. He joined Hamilton in 2015 as a senior underwriter and helped to launch the carrier's space program the following year.
Adrian Daws, CEO of Hamilton Global Specialty, said: “We are committed to these lines of business and look forward to maintaining momentum with the continued leadership of Mike and Chris and their talented teams.”
This publication reported last week that Hamilton was lining up SiriusPoint's Stephen Smyth to assume the role of head of marine cargo next month.
