WK Kellogg Looks to Health-Conscious Shoppers for Growth -- Market Talk

Dow Jones

1337 ET - WK Kellogg is going after health-conscious shoppers. Over the past few years, the cereal maker notes a consumer shift toward more health-forward trends, resulting in the granola and natural-organic segments growing about 10% faster than the broader cereal category, Chief Growth Officer Doug VandeVelde says at the Consumer Analyst Group of New York conference. He says the company's Kashi and Bear Naked brands are among the leading brands in these quickly growing segments, though he notes that they still have ample room for growth. "More broadly speaking, we believe our brands can better capitalize on the health trends that are in demand, and we are going to invest here to drive growth," VandeVelde says.
