Accenture (ACN) and INFRONEER Holdings announced Tuesday an agreement to set up a joint venture to resolve key issues in the "safe and efficient" construction and operation of infrastructure in Japan.
The joint venture, to be called INFRONEER Strategy & Innovation, will be 81% owned by INFRONEER and 19% owned by Accenture.
The JV will "accelerate the adoption of data-driven models -- from optimizing IT operating costs to make strategic IT investments at the management level -- to improve productivity at construction and infrastructure operation sites," the company said.
