Honda Motor Open to Resuming Takeover Talks If Nissan CEO Leaves, FT Reports

--Honda Motor is willing to restart takeover talks if Nissan Motor Chief Executive Makoto Uchida steps down, the Financial Times reports, citing unnamed sources.

--Uchida faces pressure from board members to step down over the next few months after the merger talks failed, the FT report said.

--Honda said it would not completely rule out the possibility of resuming merger talks if they arise, the FT report said.
