Gorilla Gold Mines (ASX:GG8) intersected mineralization in a newly discovered high-grade, continuous gold zone located outside the current mineral resource estimate at its Comet Vale gold project in Western Australia, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.
Extensional drilling results from this zone include significant intercepts of 6 meters at 22 grams per tonne (g/t) grade of gold from a depth of 70 meters, as well as 2 meters at 12.4 g/t grade of gold from 40 meters.
The results are from 6 reverse circulation drill holes in the discovery area at the Sovereign prospect, the filing said. Drilling is expected to continue at the project for up to five more weeks.
The company's shares fell past 2% in recent Monday trade.
