Infratil (NZE:IFT, ASX:IFT) said, it has exercised pre-emption rights alongside Future Fund to buy a 12.04% stake in CDC Data Centres from Commonwealth Superannuation Corporation following an external sale process launched in November 2024, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.
The company will acquire 1.58% of CDC's ordinary shares while Future Fund will buy the remaining 10.46% for a total consideration of AU$13.7 billion, the filing added.
After the deal, Infratil will own a 49.75% stake in CDC, said the filing.
Company shares rose 3% in recent trade in New Zealand.
