2月22日，广东省纪委监委发布消息，珠海市政协原副主席、民革珠海市委会原主委潘明被取消相应退休待遇，涉嫌受贿犯罪问题移送检察机关审查起诉。

潘明出生于1962年10月，江西寻乌人，同济大学城市规划专业毕业，2008年11月加入民革。

1988年起，潘明先后在珠海多个部门工作，曾任市规划局副局长、市政园林和林业局局长等职，2012年1月当选副市长，后改任市政协副主席。

2024年11月，已经62岁的潘明被宣布正接受监察调查。

广东省纪委监委2月22日发布的通报显示，潘明违反组织要求，不按规定报告个人有关事项；

违反廉洁要求，违规收受礼金；

公器私用，利用职务便利为他人在用地手续审批、工程项目承揽等方面谋利，并非法收受巨额财物。

潘明行为已构成严重职务违法并涉嫌受贿犯罪，且在党的十八大后不收敛、不收手，性质严重，影响恶劣，应予严肃处理。

依据《中华人民共和国监察法》《中华人民共和国公职人员政务处分法》等有关规定，由广东省监委给予其取消相应退休待遇处理；没收其违法所得；将其涉嫌犯罪问题移送检察机关依法审查起诉，所涉财物一并移送。
