路透华盛顿/罗马2月23日 - 美国航空AAL.O表示，周日一架从纽约飞往新德里的航班因安全顾虑改道飞往罗马，后来该隐患被确定为"不可信"，并称该航班已安全降落在罗马，将于周一飞往新德里。
该航班从约翰·肯尼迪国际机场起飞，原定飞往新德里英迪拉·甘地国际机场。
美国航空在一份声明中说："从纽约飞往新德里的美国航空292航班由于可能存在安全隐患而改道飞往罗马。"
该公司称，罗马执法部门检查后允许飞机重新起飞。该公司表示，该航班将在罗马过夜，以便机组人员进行必要的休息，然后于周一继续飞往新德里。
航班追踪账号 Flight Emergency 早些时候在 X 上发布消息称，该航班因炸弹威胁而改道飞往罗马。
据机场消息称，这架载有约 200 人的波音 787-9 梦想客机于1620GMT左右降落在罗马的机场。
消息人士补充说，飞机在里海上空时，航空公司就炸弹威胁向机组人员发出警告。
