Taiwanese electronics manufacturer Foxconn is looking to partner with Honda Motor (HMC) together with Nissan Motor and Mitsubishi Motors in the electric vehicle space, Nikkei reported Friday, citing a source familiar with the matter.

Foxconn Chairman Young Liu said he is looking to collaborate on the design and manufacture of EVs on a contract basis, although the company does not plan to establish its own automobile brand, the report said.

Foxconn, Honda, Nissan and Mitsubishi did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
