Colgate-Palmolive (India) Receives Reduced GST Demand Order For FY 2020-21

Colgate-Palmolive (India) (NSE:COLPAL, BOM:500830) has received a final goods and services tax order from Gujarat authorities for the fiscal year 2020-21, with the demand reduced to 1.38 million rupees from 47.5 million rupees, according to an Indian bourse filing on Friday.

The demand was raised for allegedly availing Input GST on ineligible items, the filing said.

The company said that the demand is not expected to have an impact on its financial operations.
