Sector Update: Energy Stocks Decline Premarket Friday

Energy stocks declined premarket Friday as the Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLE) fell by 0.6% recently.

The United States Oil Fund (USO) was down 1.4% and the United States Natural Gas Fund (UNG) was 4% higher.

Front-month US West Texas Intermediate crude oil was down 1.3% at $71.52 per barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Global benchmark North Sea Brent crude oil lost 1.2% to $75.56 per barrel. Natural gas futures were 6% higher at $4.402 per 1 million British Thermal Units.

Solaris Energy Infrastructure (SEI) shares were up over 21% after the company reported an increase in Q4 revenue, while adjusted earnings declined.

Alliant Energy (LNT) shares were up 0.6% after the company reported higher Q4 adjusted earnings and revenue.
