AppLovin Still Leads Despite Unity Vector Launch -- Market Talk

1249 ET - AppLovin remains the clear leader in mobile game advertising, even after Unity debuted an AI-driven ad platform this week, Benchmark analyst Mike Hickey says. Unity on Thursday announced the launch of Vector, a self-learning ad platform aimed at improving ad performance on mobile games. AppLovin's stock is off 14% since Wednesday's close as investors worry about tightening competition, but Hickey says it is still much further along in development than Unity. Vector is set to roll out in 1Q and is effectively a start-over in ad monetization, Hickey says, while AppLovin is already monetizing and scaling its platform. (katherine.hamilton@wsj.com)
