纽约州总检察长Letitia James周一宣布，外卖送餐平台DoorDash被将送餐人员应得的小费充当基本工资收入，因此勒令DoorDash出资1675万美元进行补偿，预计超过6万名纽约送餐员可能有资格从中获得赔偿金。

　　2017年5月至2019年9月期间，DoorDash使用了一种保证工资模式，让外卖员在接单送货之前知道他们将获得多少报酬。但纽约州总检察长办公室（OAG）的一项调查发现，在这种欺骗性薪酬模式下，DoorDash使用客户支付的小费来抵消已经向送货员保证的基本工资，而不是付给他们应得的全部小费。

　　只有当小费金额超过DoorDash保证的工资金额时，送餐员们才能得到额外的收入。只要小费低于保证工资，DoorDash就直接用小费填补自己应承担的基本工资，平台实际支付的保底薪资仅为1美元。

　　DoorDash没有向消费者和送餐员披露所谓“保证工资”的具体算法。客户也被误导，以为他们支付的小费将100%直接交给送餐员，实际上却遭平台利用。
